T Carter Music

At the recent Wedding Style bridal show an independant artist specializing in wedding music was featured in a promotional CD given to VIP guests. T Carter Music has a great selection of music customized for weddings. You can save over 50% on his music right now.

Inspired by personal experience

Tony Carter was inspired by his own wedding planning experiences. Unable to find music to fit his particular needs that expressed his personal sentiments, he decided to create his own. That was the genesis of T Carter Music. I caught up to Tony recently and he spoke of how he wanted the music to sound professionally produced so when he decided to record it commercially he contracted top musicians in the field to play back up instruments for the arrangements. The results are impressive.

Invitations
Here's some info that might help you when deciding how and when to send your invitations:
  • Now popular are "save the date" cards that let everyone know you have a wedding on the way.
  • For a formal wedding: 4 - 6 weeks before. Informal: up to 10 days before.
  • Only the bride's parents names appear on the invitation unless the groom's parents are sharing equally in the costs of the wedding.
  • In cases where there are multiple parents involved only the parents who are defraying the costs should have their names printed on the invitation.
  • Invitations should be divided evenly between the bride and groom; if one side will not use as many as the other, the mothers can confer and make adjustments.
  • You should send invitations to the groom's parents and to members of the bridal party.
  • When you write "John Smith and Family" on an envelope it means every person living under that roof is invited.
  • If you don't want kids at the wedding, send the invite only to the parents. DO NOT write any thing about "no children." Rather, spread your desire by word of mouth and ask others to help you do the same.
  • It is acceptable to post a single invitation on a bulletin board at work to invite co-workers but remember, everyone at the office and their husband and wives are invited. Individual invites are better.
  • For those living far away you have two options: an invitation or an announcement. An invitation is for someone who is a very close relative or friend and who might feel slighted if they didn't get an invitation. An announcement can be sent to distance relatives as they will have no obligation to send a gift, an obligation intimated by an invitation.
  • Annoucements are sent AFTER the wedding, letting people know about your happy event.
  • It is appropriate to include response cards with the invitation to determine how large your group will be.
