John Harman's DJ Service

Parties

My primary focus is weddings, however, for groups large or small I work with you to provide fun for everyone. With a wide selection of music to please your guests, you'll be sure everyone will have fun. In addition to music, there's activities, ice breakers and a big screen projector.

Summer movie nights prove to be very popular, especially when you provide a G-rated movie and offer free seating. Powell's Sweet Shoppe in Clovis has offered movie nights in a small park adjacent to their store for 2 years and have found them to be a great promotional tool. Working with them we've introduced some activities and games as well. Recently, when doing a showing of Charlotte's Web, I hosted a hog calling contest for adults. These types of activities are inexpensive, high ROI (Return-on-Investment) promotions that build standing in your community as well as name recoginition.

Over the years ZZYXZ has worked with many organizations.
Some of these organizations include:

Picnics

I serve 3 functions at picnics:

  1. Fun family-friendly music as a backdrop to your event.
  2. MC services for announcing.
  3. Games and activities coordinator.

Doing your own music? Here's some tips:

  • There's no "dancefloor" at most daytime picnics. Dance music is optional.
  • Music is based on mood; it should be fun and uptempo.
  • Get suggestions for songs beforehand.
  • Be prepared for requests.
  • Make sure you control the volume.

Need some game ideas? Here's a few:

  • Hula hoops
  • Limbo
  • Scavenger hunt
  • Dance/twist contest
  • 3-legged race
  • Tug of war
  • Musical Lip Sync/air guitar contest
  • Watermelon/pie eating contests
  • Water balloon / egg toss contest
  • Bubble gum bubble blowing contest.
